COSTS FOR ENTIRE PROJECT REVEALED

Audley Moore Construction has revealed that the Hopkins County Veterans
Memorial on the square will cost approximately $1,350,000 for the memorial
itself and a total of $1,579,000 including streets and sidewalks.
WOW, this is a lot of fund raising yet to go.
These numbers are from memory as stated by Don Roundtree at the Executive
Committee meeting on 5/27/08 and could be off by a little bit.

BIKE RALLY A BIG SUCCESS

According to Vickie Lee, the bike ride and rally was a huge success,
raising over $3,000.00 for the memorial. Congratulations to all those who
helped make the Bike Ride such a wonderful event.

$10,000.00 CONTRIBUTION RECEIVED FROM LEGACY AG CREDIT ACA

The Veterans Memorial received a $10,000.00 GOLD LEVEL contribution from the Legacy
AG ACA honoring it's retired president, Veteran Walter Grice. Walter
was seriously wounded in battle near Manila, Philippines in 1944.
